I came here for the first time in April 2017, and I've come back so many times since then. It was finally a place to bring a group of people to order dishes family-style - I had been looking for a good place to do so! So happy about this place. Anyway, I came here on a weekday night for dinner with a friend, and when we came it was still pretty empty. By the time we left the restaurant was full! Although located in a dingy-looking part of Chinatown, the inside of the restaurant is awesome. Very bright, proper chairs and tables etc. The ambiance is great, and the waiters are friendly. We ordered: - shrimp steamed rice roll: super fresh, and the rice roll is super soft it almost melted in my mouth. I've never tasted anything like it in the USA. Super delicious. Shrimp was fresh too. There's a soy sauce bottle on each table so you can add the appropriate amount to your food! I love this; usually rice rolls come with soy sauce on it, but sometimes they give you too little or too much. It's perfect that they provide bottles! - beef chow fun with gravy: a little bit too much corn starch I believe? Some of the sauce was too clumpy, but the flavor was great. The noodles themselves were quite good too and very fresh; they were a bit too soft though. Fresh green vegetables surrounded the dish, and the brown gravy sauce was very flavorful. Beef was soft and tender, very good as well. I loved this dish. I definitely want to come back to try the dry beef chow fun. - salted chicken rice casserole: this took 20 minutes to come out, which is how I know they make it fresh! Again, with the soy sauce bottle, we could add as much or little to the rice we wanted. The chicken had a bit too much bone and not enough meat, but it was tender and flavorful. The casserole made crunchy rice at the bottom, which I thoroughly enjoyed! Everything was delicious, I love the food here! The even better part is, all this came to be around $20 post-tax. They were huge portions (enough for three people), and it was awesome. Definitely will be returning (with groups), and definitely will be recommending this place to people!
In the heart of the Manhattan Chinatown near a number of subways.I believe there is a Kings Kitchen in Brooklyn as well. I shared a variety of appetizers and dishes. The food is superb. Cantonese style but stylized and tastier than old school Cantonese style with unique flavors. A little difficult to enter with a Walker or Wheel chair because there are a number of tables and chairs close to each other with narrow aisles. Not ideal for large groups either. Average four to a table. However I would still go back. There is also takeout and delivery
Had the mixed plate bbq duck roast pig and roast pork all were very delicious. Asked for duck sauce and was given soy sauce. Service not that attentive. Will be back for bbq meat. $7.50
We had to wait way too long to even a server to notice us. Food is just ok. Had to ask the waitress 3 times to get more water. Never going back again
I walked by seen a guy cutting up a whole roasted pork I Had to stop and go in. I had the rosted pork and roasted chicken on a bed of rice. Very good flavors., Chicken and pork nicely seasoned. Will come again when I'm back in New York.
